Nine years of taking men into the mountains.
Rising Son did not start as a company. It started as three days.

The first one.
Brannon and Tyler took a group of men into the mountains for three days. No brand, no website, no plan beyond finding out what happens when men say the whole thing out loud to each other. Enough happened that they did it again.
- 2017
Bear Lake.
The retreat found its place. A cabin on the water, room for about thirty men, and a stretch of mountains with nothing scheduled in them. It has come back here nearly every year since.
- 2018
Alaska.
One year they went further out. Men flew in from across the country for something none of them could describe properly afterward. Several of the testimonials on this site are still from that week.
- 2021 to 2024
The work got sharper.
Fifteen retreats in, the sessions had been built and rebuilt around what actually moved men and what only sounded good. More than two hundred men had been through it by then, and most of them had never told another man the whole story before they arrived.

Somewhere in there Brannon and Tyler started recording the conversations they were having anyway. Five hundred and forty episodes later, it is how most men find us. Usually late at night. Usually without telling anyone yet.

The Journey.
Three days changes a man. Keeping it takes longer than three days. So the weekly group opened: the same men, the same time, every week, from wherever you are. It has been running for years now, quietly, alongside the retreat.

For years this was one retreat and one group under a few different names. Now it is one name with two ways in. Same men leading it, same work.
